Japanese needles are some of the best on the market and these needle sets by Cohana are no exception. The needles are made by Meboso Hachirobei Shoten. This company has a history of more than 430 years and produces high-quality needles in a region that is well known for its textile industry. Back in the day, seamstresses used to wear a hand-sewn bag or a small container around their neck, in order for their needles to not get lost. This story has inspired Cohana to create a special paper tube for their needles. These tube containers are produced by Aichi Shikan Sezosho. This container is decorated with a light grey-golden tassel made by the company Kanagawa.

The needles are made from hardened steel and the tip has been polished vertically. This makes for a smooth and extremely sharp needle, which is an absolute joy to work with. We recommend to wipe off the needle with a cloth after each use. Available in 2 assortments: for light to medium-weight fabrics, such as silk or cotton, and for heavy-weight fabrics, such as denim or canvas. Stylishly packaged in cellophane (15.0 x 5.3cm).
