Sunny Morning — AVA P164 (£64.82)
This is AVA's most ambitious design to date. Sunny Morning is a richly layered interior scene — think patterned rugs, striped upholstery, lush garden foliage glimpsed through the window, a gallery wall, flowing curtains, and a cat nestled in the warmth of it all. It's the kind of piece that rewards patience and skill in equal measure.
With 82 colours and 4 blends, this holds the highest colour count in the entire AVA catalogue. Every element of the composition demands sustained colour management and precise shading — there are no shortcuts here. Stitched on 16 ct Zweigart Aida with a stitch count of 206 × 205, the finished piece measures a generous 32.70 × 32.54 cm.
Difficulty: Advanced. Strictly for experienced stitchers who are ready to commit to something truly special.
Little Wizard — AVA P153 (£30.73)
Meet the most charming Halloween companion you'll ever stitch. Little Wizard features a delightfully detailed mouse dressed for the occasion, perched beside a carved pumpkin — all set against a clean, light background that lets the subject shine.
With 41 colours and 3 blends, this is a more approachable kit than Sunny Morning, but it's far from simple. The blended threads and careful shading on the pumpkin and mouse fur require a steady hand and some experience. The stitch count is 156 × 159, finishing at 24.77 × 25.24 cm on 16 ct Zweigart Aida (col. 100/101).
Difficulty: Intermediate. A wonderful next step for stitchers who've built their confidence and are ready to tackle something with real character.
